Position Overview:
As a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, formulating and executing comprehensive nursing plans for post-operative care, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients post-surgery to monitor vital signs and overall health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments while observing for any adverse reactions.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding recovery processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Possess a valid Registered Nurse License.
- Hold current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting as required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
