Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent communication skills with parents, children, and co-workers regarding special diets and/or allergies and provide alternatives for such cases.
  • Conscientiously use chemicals and supplies, adhering to prescribed strengths and proper uses, and avoid wastefulness.
  • Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares are washed, rinsed, sanitized, and air-dried before storage.
  • Follow RHS safety guidelines for lifting and moving equipment and supplies.
  • Remove trash periodically throughout the shift, maintain clean trash cans with lids and liners, and ensure sanitary conditions at exterior trash bins and loading dock areas.
  • Ensure the 3-compartment pot sink is clean and set up according to health department standards, and monitor it periodically throughout the shift.
  • Sweep and scrub floors as needed throughout the shift and thoroughly at the end of each shift, maintaining wet floor signs during the cleaning process.
  • Document dish machine temperatures to ensure proof that dishes and utensils have been cleaned and sanitized at the proper temperature.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and compliant work area, adhering to RHS, DNV, and State safety standards and HACCP standards.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years of recent relevant experience (Preferred)
  • Food Handlers Card (FH) - State Food Safety (Required)
