• Ensure that all patient results, imaging, laboratory tests, and procedural documentation are available in patient files prior to consultations.

• Collect and record patient vital signs and concerns accurately in medical records.

• Document information clearly and legibly, including laboratory findings.

• Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients.

• Complete laboratory requisition forms and ensure specimens are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories according to insurance agreements.

• Oversee and replenish supplies and instruments in examination and procedure rooms.

• Sterilize instruments in compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness of sterilization equipment as needed.

• Prepare clinical documentation as required.

• Coordinate surgical scheduling and provide patients with necessary pre-operative instructions, referring to administrative staff for insurance verification.

• Provide support for surgical scheduling as needed.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Conducts patient care duties with consideration for the specific needs of various age groups.
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), performs comprehensive assessments on all patients and conducts follow-up evaluations as per established protocols.
  • Effectively assesses and manages pain, employing appropriate pain relief strategies and educating patients and families on pain management.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacology and the correct administration of medications based on patient age and clinical status.
  • Adheres to the five rights of medication administration to minimize the risk of errors.
  • Adjusts care plans based on patient responses to treatment and evaluates the overall effectiveness of care daily.
  • Develops educational plans tailored to identified patient learning needs and assesses the effectiveness of the education provided, involving family members as appropriate.
  • Assists physicians with medical procedures and performs tasks requiring technical skills under the guidance of an RN.
  • Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
  • Engages professionally with patients and families, involving them in the care planning process.

Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Enhances public relations for the department and healthcare facility by presenting oneself in a professional manner and participating in community service initiatives as needed.
  • Effectively resolves patient and family concerns to achieve positive outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Exhibits strong communication skills necessary for interacting with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds, maintaining a positive attitude consistently.
  • Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with colleagues, other departmental staff, and physicians, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
