Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supervising nursing assistants, and ensuring the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and direct nursing assistants, ensuring they are following established safety regulations and providing high-quality patient care.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Current unencumbered LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Ability: Ability to move intermittently through the workday, ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position, and ability to function independently.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
