Ice Skating Coach

We are seeking a skilled Ice Skating Instructor to join our team at the City of Minnetonka, MN. As an Ice Skating Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching skating lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels.

• Assist lead instructors during beginner skating lessons
• Plan, organize, and conduct classes to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment
• Assess students' skills and progress to determine readiness for advanced levels
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote proper skating techniques and safety
• Monitor students' well-being and provide support as needed
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure a cohesive and effective skating program

• Skating knowledge and experience required
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must have passed the skating level that you are assigned to instruct
• Must be able to demonstrate all skills in the level that you would be assigned to teach
• Must be able to work weekend hours
• Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Must be able to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
• Prior teaching experience is a plus

This is a non-benefit earning position. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide a high-quality skating experience for our participants.
