Organist Musician

Job Title: Organist Services Location: Portsmouth, VA Duties: The successful candidate will provide professional music services as the Accompanist/Keyboardist for Protestant worship and Roman Catholic mass conducted by the Pastoral Care Department, Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. Responsibilities: * Provide musical accompaniment for worship services and masses * Select appropriate hymns and service music for seasonal requirements * Prepare and submit requests for needed resources and materials Qualifications: * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Computer skills sufficient to create, maintain, and send reports * High school graduate with a minimum of two years of music education and/or experience * Knowledge of hymnal background, organ playing, and church music literature * Good command of the English language Working Conditions: The candidate will work in a professional environment, providing music services for worship and masses.
