Department: Cardiology Cath Lab

Location: Farmington Hills Hospital

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Variable

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Procedure Technician to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Special Procedure Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing heart and/or vascular procedures. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures
  • Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient-centered care
  • Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, families, and ancillary departments
  • Perform quality assurance checks on technical equipment
  • Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology
  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program, Associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education for Cath Lab/EP Lab
  • 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR
  • BLS certification and active RT status upon hire for IR
  • BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months for Cath Lab
