General Manager Job Description

GAT Airline Ground Support, a rapidly expanding airline service company, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join its team. As a General Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization by providing exceptional leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage airport operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and motivate a team of employees, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customers, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including FAA, OSHA, EPA, US Dept. of Labor, and EEOC.
  • Investigate and report any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, airport authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive and professional image for GAT Airline Ground Support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the airline industry, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Proven track record of leadership, management, and financial skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
