We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team in the Carmel Corporate Office. This role will contribute to the success of the Company through financial reporting, internal controls, and process development. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the executive management team and gain experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure timely and accurate accounting entries are made to the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including Statutory and GAAP financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts, corporate bank accounts, and investment accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budget and modeling, including cash forecasting and reinsurance settlements.
- Provide general support for internal and external auditors as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CPA Candidate.
- Minimum 3 years public accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Detail-oriented with ability to be accurate in the completion of tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
