Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Assistance: Collaborates with surgeons during operations, ensuring that all necessary tools and supplies are readily available.
- Sterile Field Maintenance: Establishes and upholds a sterile environment, including the setup of sterile instruments and patient draping.
- Supply Management: Prepares and organizes surgical supplies, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.
- Clerical Duties: Engages in administrative tasks such as updating patient records and managing operation room documentation.
- Safety Protocols: Ensures a clean and safe operating environment, conducting regular equipment inspections and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
- Confidentiality: Upholds the highest standards of patient confidentiality and adheres to all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited surgical technology program or military training as a scrub technician.
Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Days
