Job Title: Chess Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chess Educator to join our team at Concorde Education. As a Chess Educator, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating an extracurricular course centered around chess for elementary, middle, and high school students.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work closely with the Director of Educational Development to plan and implement instructional sessions.
  • Develop a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of chess, including movement, strategy, and gameplay.
  • Apply the skills and knowledge covered in the course to work towards a chess competition.
  • Model appropriate academic and social behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • A bachelor's degree and extensive knowledge of chess.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
  • Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility.
  • Knowledge of basic academic content and skills.
  • Application of such knowledge and tools to help students access material.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction.
  • Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations.

**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
