The successful candidate will hold a 4-year degree in engineering, possess advanced AutoCAD skills, and have hands-on experience working in food manufacturing environments.

This is a leadership role with both strategic and operational responsibilities to ensure engineering excellence, process improvements, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage engineering teams across multiple plant locations, ensuring consistency in processes, performance, and safety standards.
  • Oversee plant engineering projects from design through execution, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Hands-on involvement in equipment design, plant layouts, and process optimizations using AutoCAD.
  • Ensure all engineering activities are in compliance with industry regulations, particularly within the food manufacturing space (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
  • Collaborate with plant managers and other departments to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall production efficiency.
  • Support the maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to plant engineers and other technical staff across the region.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are strictly adhered to, conducting regular reviews and audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial engineering role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and experienced in designing and modifying plant layouts and equipment.
  • Proven hands-on experience in food manufacturing engineering, including equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and manufacturing regulations (FDA, HACCP, GMP).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
