Compensation: $3,500 per course.
Work Hours: 10 hours per week, non-benefits eligible faculty position.
Required Application Materials:

Key Responsibilities
Instructors are expected to maintain office hours for each course taught, manage grading, prepare course materials, and collaborate with the department chair to integrate teaching efforts with other faculty members in the discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Teaching experience comparable to that of faculty members in tenure-track positions.
- Instructors may teach up to four classes per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level in their area of expertise, including:
- ECE
- EC-6 Certification (Math required)
- 4-8 Certification
- 7-12 Certification
- Reading Specialist
- Literacy Education
- Special Education
- Physical Education K-12
- Clinical Teaching Supervision in all Certification Areas: EC-6, 4-8, 7-12, Special Education, and Physical Education
- 1-3 years of experience teaching undergraduate courses.
- UTSA is a tobacco-free campus.
- This position is security sensitive. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
- Applicants must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire.
- May require evening teaching for one or more courses, with scheduling dependent on course offerings. Depending on the position, work modality may include:
- On Campus: Primary work location will be on the UTSA Main and/or Downtown campus.
- Remote: Primarily works from a remote location in Texas with occasional campus visits as needed. Travel and parking expenses are the responsibility of the employee. Applicants must be adaptable to both environments.
- Hybrid: Works both remotely and on campus (approximately 5 or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the responsibility of the employee. Applicants must be adaptable to both environments.
