Emergency Transport Nursing Specialist

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Deliver thorough, secure, and efficient medical assistance to patients being transported by Boston MedFlight.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional care to patients during transport
- Engage in team meetings and professional development sessions
- Maintain all necessary certifications and licensure
- Ensure documentation is completed in accordance with established protocols
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and relevant parties
- Follow safety regulations diligently
- Continuously improve clinical competencies
- Keep the work environment orderly and sanitized
- Manage and replenish medical supplies and equipment
- Report to assigned locations as required
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with data entry and administrative tasks
- Participate in community education programs
- Be ready for extensive travel as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- For BSN holders: Minimum of 3.5 years in high acuity nursing
- For non-BSN holders: At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in high acuity environments
- Preferred experience in level I or II trauma facilities
- Must possess a valid Massachusetts RN license
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and BLS are mandatory
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work on rotating shifts is essential
- Excellent proficiency in the English language is required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must pass Class I employment physical examination
- Able to work under various physical conditions
- Capability to lift patients and medical apparatus
- Must meet specified height and weight criteria
- Pass agility and drug screening assessments
- Must not suffer from motion sickness or similar impairments
