Asphalt Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at American Paving Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Responding to and meeting with potential customers to discuss project requirements
• Preparing and pricing proposals for construction projects
• Calculating area and three-dimensional calculations as needed using measuring tools
• Following up with potential customers to secure new business
• Traveling to potential job sites around Long Island and NYC
• Ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and project management
• Liaising with customers, vendors, and workers to coordinate project success
• Representing the company at bid openings and ensuring a professional presence
• Developing and maintaining relationships with general contractors, property managers, and business owners to create new customer streams
• Drafting advertising plans to secure new and returning business

Requirements:

• Prior experience in measuring job areas (asphalt, concrete, pavers) using a measuring wheel and other methods
• Effective communication skills in writing and verbally
• Basic computer and smartphone knowledge
• Ability to drive throughout Long Island and NYC
