Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at Bay Ridge Honda Careers. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of vehicle repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently perform work as specified on repair orders, adhering to our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough test drives and utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess and repair vehicles.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair complex automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors to ensure customers are fully informed of any additional services needed, providing accurate time estimates for additional repairs.
  • Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Service Technician in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with Honda, Mazda, or Volkswagen, with a strong understanding of their repair procedures and specifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE Certification mandatory for all technicians.
  • Strong mechanical skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, and steady dexterity, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of complex automotive systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Positive and friendly attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Strong team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Willingness to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications, with a strong desire for professional development.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, with the ability to travel to various locations as needed.
