Job Summary

This role may be based in a hospital facility, patient service center, in-office phlebotomy, or mobile diagnostic services. The position may require coverage at multiple locations and is responsible for the collection and processing of biological specimens, their entry into the company's computer system, and preparation for analytical testing. The position also performs specified analytical testing as assigned and follows established policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing
  • Enter specimen information into the company's computer system
  • Prepare specimens for analytical testing
  • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and professional standards
Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • High School diploma or equivalent may be required
  • Basic knowledge of department resource materials
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
  • Position may require DHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification
  • Valid state driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Additional related education and/or experience
