Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist III to join our team at Waukesha Foundry. As a key member of our Machine Shop department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery, programming and running machine tools, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Programming and Operation: Write, review, and edit machine programs for 2-axis lathes and mills using Gibbs Cam Programming, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Tooling and Inventory Management: Select and manage tooling, consumables, and inventory to prevent delays and ensure smooth production.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Design Engineers, Quality Personnel, and other operators to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements and quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to machine shop schedules.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of programming experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with CAD/CAM software, basic understanding of GD&T, and good math skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive outlook, willingness to learn, and a wide comfort zone.
Work Environment

This is a 2nd shift position, working Tuesday through Friday, 2pm - Midnight.
