Job Summary

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Interventional Cardiology Physician for a 13-week locum tenens opportunity in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, document medical histories, and address patient inquiries and concerns in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
  • Diagnostic and Treatment Planning: Diagnose and manage injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions, and develop treatment plans and recommendations based on patient needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, communicate results to patients, and stay up-to-date with advances in medicine and best practices.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and current patient records, updating information and treatments as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Medical Licensure: Possess an active and unencumbered physician license in the state of employment (Aya Locums can assist with obtaining a new license if needed).
  • Certification and Training: Hold Board certification or eligibility for certification in a specialty relevant to the role (highly preferred), and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

  • Diagnostic and Clinical Decision-Making: Demonstrate expertise in diagnostic and clinical decision-making, with the ability to analyze complex patient data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team setting, with a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and technology, with the ability to navigate and utilize these systems effectively.
Working Hours and Education
  • Working Hours: Work a 5, 8-hour shift from 19:00 to 07:00.
  • Education Requirements: Possess a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, completed a residency program in your chosen specialty, and engage in ongoing continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain medical licensure.
