Job Summary

The HazMat Retail Driver Technician will be responsible for operating class B trucks in a Less Than Truckload (LTL) capacity to pick up customer retail waste from retail stores, pharmacies, and/or industrial sites. The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction, maintain electronic logs, and document manifests and work orders. This role requires a strong understanding of government regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform LTL pickups and maintain company equipment
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain vehicle logs
  • Document manifests and work orders, and process hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed
  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping at facility and on grounds
  • Function as technician on lab pack and field service projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems
  • Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities
  • CDL Hazmat endorsement preferred
Minimum Qualifications
  • A valid class B commercial driver's license is required
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER Training or ability to pass course upon hire
