Job Title: Clinical Dietitian - Per Diem Opportunity

Job Summary:

The Sparrow Easton Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing professional nutrition services to patients, including screening, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess nutritional status of patients and initiate appropriate nutritional care in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans based on patient assessment.
  • Participate in medical rounds to maximize nutrition therapy.
  • Instruct patients and their significant others on nutritional needs, diet modifications, and food/drug interactions.
  • Teach nutrition classes for patients, hospital personnel, and community groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Master's degree in nutrition or a related field is beneficial.

Work Environment:

The Clinical Dietitian will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
