Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Director to lead our Information Technology Department at Cibola General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, establishing policies and procedures, and directing and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security and Compliance: Facilitate the development, implementation, and oversight of all activities pertaining to Health Information Security efforts to ensure compliance with HIPAA Security Regulations.
  • Staff Management: Select, train, and assign department staff, develop standards of performance, evaluate annual performance, and initiate or recommend personnel actions.
  • Department Goals and Objectives: Develop department goals and objectives, establish and implement policies and procedures for department operation, and develop and recommend the department operating budget.
  • Contract Negotiations: Perform contract negotiations with current and new vendors.
  • Reporting and Communication: Direct the preparation and maintenance of department reports, prepare periodic reports for Administration as required, and maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
  • Facilities and Equipment: Maintain department facilities and equipment in a condition to promote efficiency and safety of staff.
  • IT Services: Plan, organize, and direct IT Department activities, determine and document space, equipment, supply, and service requirements, and evaluate equipment capabilities and recommend equipment, hardware, and software acquisitions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Experience: Project management and five (5) years of IT management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Field of Expertise: Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, computer systems, data communications, and major software packages, including HMS Clinical Systems and experience with Active Directory.
