Key Responsibilities
  • Teach laboratory exercises in histology, including fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet learning outcomes
  • Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment
  • Provide career guidance and job placement assistance
  • Assess and provide feedback on student competencies
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Histology or Bachelor's degree in Histology Laboratory Technology
  • Board Certification in ASCP HT or HTL from the American Society of Clinical Pathology
  • 1 year of bench work or graduate of the program
  • Minimum of 36 hours of continuing education in the past 3 years
