Job Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a vital role in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at Albany Medical Center. This position requires a skilled professional to coordinate, plan, and administer various duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan administrative management, financial, and operational duties.
  • Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care.
  • Facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
  • Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff.
  • Assure competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. A strong understanding of nursing principles and practices is essential, as well as the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
