As a Mental Health Practitioner at Salem Hospital, Inc., you will provide effective mental health and substance abuse interventions to assigned clients, coordinating individual cases with primary care physicians, referrers, insurance carriers, or other agencies. You will also complete and maintain documentation and records, representing the hospital in a professional manner and adhering to all policies and guidelines, as well as state and federal regulations and program requirements.

You will work collaboratively with payors, referrers, primary care physicians, and community agencies in providing effective treatment to clients. A license as a Mental Health provider or being in the process of obtaining licensure is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health and substance abuse interventions to assigned clients
  • Coordinate individual cases with primary care physicians, referrers, insurance carriers, or other agencies
  • Complete and maintain documentation and records
  • Represent the hospital in a professional manner
  • Adhere to all policies and guidelines, as well as state and federal regulations and program requirements

Requirements:

  • License as a Mental Health provider or in the process of obtaining licensure
  • Ability to work collaboratively with payors, referrers, primary care physicians, and community agencies

Work Environment:

This position is part-time with a standard schedule of 20 hours per week. The primary location is Salem Hospital, 81 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970.
