Job Summary

This is a non-skiing/non-snowboarding position at China Peak Mountain Resort. As a Cashier/Server, you will serve customers of our restaurant by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate Cash Register and Provide Excellent Customer Service: Accurately operate cash register, receive payment, and return change to customers.
  • Notify Kitchen Personnel of Shortages or Special Orders: Inform kitchen staff of any shortages or special orders to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Fulfill Food and Beverage Orders: Fill food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer expectations.
  • Abide by ABC Rules: Adhere to ABC rules regarding customer identification, consumption, and service to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Prepare and Submit Required Accounting Paperwork: Prepare and submit required accounting paperwork at the close of each shift to ensure accurate financial records.
Additional Duties:

Due to the dynamic nature of Winter resort operations, employees may be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility as needed, including performing in any food and beverage position qualified for.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Competencies:
  • Attendance/Punctuality: Consistently be at work and on time, and attend required staff meetings.
  • Dependability: Follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals, and complete tasks on time.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Physical and Environmental Demand Level:

The physical and environmental demand level as described in Level 1 (LOW) are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings, and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped, and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required, will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
