The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Cardiac Stepdown setting. As a Staff Level II Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of assigned patients, evaluating their physical and emotional needs, and developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Implement care plans, providing direct patient care, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in cardiac stepdown care.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as a role model and mentor to junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the Cardiac Stepdown setting.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
- Certification and Licensing: Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, ACLS, BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a Cardiac Stepdown setting.
- Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: In-depth knowledge of cardiac stepdown care, excellent patient experience skills, ability to recognize, analyze, and solve complex problems, and ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
