Position Overview - Java Developer
Location - Remote
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer responsible for hands-on coding and web/server application development.
- Proficient in Java/J2EE technologies with experience in Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Knowledgeable in Spring Boot 2, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Batch, Multi-Threading, JPA2, Hibernate, and Spring JDBC.
- Familiar with Spring Security (OAuth, LDAP) and concepts of Authentication and Authorization. Experience with API Gateway technologies.
- Skilled in developing REST APIs and understanding web services and standards such as REST/JSON.
- Experience with real-time messaging systems like Kafka, MQ, or Event-based architectures.
- Proficient in using Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, and containerization technologies like Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes and Docker.
- Capable of unit testing with frameworks such as Mockito, PowerMock, and Junit.
- Experienced with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Good understanding of Relational Databases, particularly Oracle and MSSQL Server.
- Experience with Python, SFTP, and data encryption techniques.
- Skilled in writing scalable Python code for data pipelines and using libraries like pandas and numpy for report generation.
- Proficient in creating REST API endpoints using Python frameworks like FastAPI.
- Familiar with popular Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Java/Java 8, Spring Boot/Spring MVC, Microservices, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs on Spring Boot and web services.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, Active MQ, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, CI/CD Pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.
- Experience with Oracle or MSSQL Server.
- Proficient in Python 3.
