Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping division.
  • Train and manage department staff through a continuous training program.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels by implementing effective interviewing and hiring practices.
  • Schedule staff in alignment with business volume and guest requirements while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Uphold Lake Lawn's standards to guarantee consistency in guest service and product quality through direct guest engagement.
  • Ensure well-furnished and maintained guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Regularly communicate with the Executive Director of Resort Operations regarding departmental progress and operations.
  • Routinely assess the physical condition of rooms and provide maintenance recommendations to management.
  • Propose expense and capital expenditure reports to the Executive Director of Resort Operations.
  • Manage annual labor budgets, chemical costs, supplies, laundry, uniforms, and contract cleaning services.
  • Coordinate daily cleaning services for guest rooms and public areas of the resort.
  • Plan and schedule deep cleaning initiatives as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager
  • High school diploma or equivalent

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to stand, use hands for fine manipulation, and reach with hands and arms. Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is also required. Employees must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position is primarily indoors, with a moderate noise level in the work environment. Employees may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and chemicals. The staff member will work in a high-traffic, high-volume business environment and will be required to spend a significant amount of time on their feet and/or at their desk.
