Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Specialist to join our team at King's Daughters. As a Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients by monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist RNs and clinicians with cardiac monitoring, interpretation, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.
  • Monitor and record physiological measurements, including obtaining six-second strips as indicated by patient condition or physician order.
  • Identify patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or significant changes from baseline and report to RN/providers or supervisors.
  • Initiate and discontinue monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge.
  • Perform configuration and maintenance of cardiac equipment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of clinical education/dysrhythmia classroom and on-the-job training program.
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Monitor Technician and demonstrated skill in recognizing abnormal cardiac rhythms.
  • Completion of a formal training program in allied health or a healthcare field.
Working Environment

This role requires constant exposure to blood and/or body fluids and infection. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation may also be present.

Physical Demands
  • Occasional requirement to maintain a stationary position (standing or sitting).
  • Frequent requirement to walk and move about.
  • Frequent requirement to operate a computer and other equipment.
  • Constant requirement to communicate with patients and other care team members.
