Our client, The Judge Group, is in search of a Sales Manager with a robust hunter mentality. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual eager to enhance existing client relationships while also cultivating new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a designated sales territory, ensuring that monthly pound and profit targets are met.
- Regularly visit established retail grocery outlets, butcher shops, and foodservice accounts based on client requirements.
- Engage in daily prospecting for new clientele.
- Formulate and implement strategic business plans for accounts.
- Effectively manage time and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Oversee pricing strategies and ensure compliance with credit terms.
- Showcase and sell a diverse range of perishable retail products, including poultry, fresh meat, and deli items.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities in a timely and innovative manner.
- Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Essential Competencies:
- Comprehensive understanding of retail grocery and foodservice products.
- Address customer inquiries regarding product details, pricing, availability, and usage.
- Utilize personal vehicle for travel to client accounts and company meetings.
- Communicate effectively to manage accounts receivable, collaborating with the credit department as necessary.
- Coordinate deliveries according to the transportation department's routing schedule, resolving any issues that arise during the order process.
- Participate in company events and promotions, and attend monthly sales meetings.
- Engage in continuous training and assist in onboarding new employees as required.
- Analyze sales reports and account variances on a regular basis.
- Perform administrative tasks, including preparing weekly call plans and processing requests.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior sales experience, preferably within the retail grocery sector.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation: This position offers a commission-based compensation structure following the training period, with a salary provided during training. Earnings potential is uncapped, and additional benefits include a monthly vehicle allowance, gas card, cell phone, and a 401k match.
