As a Resident Care Assistant with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and services to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with medication administration, healthcare services, and activities of daily living assistance. You will work in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, adhering to location standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with self-administration of medications and administer medications with proper training.
- Assist residents in maintaining proper and clean appearance, including bathing and maintaining cleanliness of all body areas.
- Help residents with toileting needs, dressing, and undressing, and maintaining proper clothing.
- Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking.
- Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status.
- Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques.
- Assist with preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals and snacks to residents.
- Clean residents' rooms and bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines.
