Job Description:

The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing building operations and managing property management staff members to ensure fiscal and operational success of the properties. This requires excellent analytical skills, particularly in financial management and reporting, where you will work closely with the accounting team and building ownership.

In addition to financial responsibilities, the Property Manager must possess exceptional customer service skills to support tenant retention goals. Strong teamwork and accountability are crucial attributes for this role, which also involves coordinating tenant and capital improvements within budget constraints.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as liaison between tenants and property owners
  • Developing annual property budgets and providing year-end expense reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly reports, including accruals, variance reports, and stacking plans
  • Liaising with owners and accounting teams to ensure contract compliance and timely financial reporting
  • Managing certificates of insurance for tenants and vendors
  • Coordinating lease administration duties, monitoring collections, and default proceedings
  • Maintaining accurate records of property leases in lease administration software
  • Supervising property management staff, including hiring and performance management
  • Ensuring compliance with Property Management policies and procedures, codes, regulations, and governmental directives

This position requires a professional with:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably with Class A properties
  • A California Real Estate License and RPA or CPM designation
  • Strong knowledge of finance and building operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Yardi, MRI, Timberline, Building Engines, and other commercial real estate software programs
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills

A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
