Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement speech and language therapy interventions.
  • Carry out therapy strategies designed by the SLP, facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing comprehensive reports to the SLP.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of educational materials and activities.
  • Support students in enhancing their communication abilities in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and school personnel to ensure a unified approach to student assistance.
  • Maintain confidential and precise records in accordance with school and district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a valid SLPA license in the state of Virginia.
  • Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional support for students.

Contract Details:

  • Hourly Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
