Key Responsibilities- Provide Compassionate Care: Offer emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
- Assist with Daily Activities: Help patients with bathing, dressing, and feeding, ensuring their physical and personal needs are met.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Regularly check patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff, ensuring prompt attention to their needs.
- Administer Medications: Safely administer medications as prescribed by the medical team, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure the patient's living space is clean, safe, and comfortable, promoting a sense of dignity and respect.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Experience working in a hospice or end-of-life care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
