Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Associate Microbiologist to join our team at our Petersburg, Virginia site. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the microbiology laboratory and testing comply with applicable regulatory standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing microbiological testing methods consistent with USP testing requirements, including bioburden, bacterial endotoxin, and identification of microbial isolates.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and executing test sampling plans.
- Participating in verification of microbiological methods and method transfers.
- Identifying, tracking, and facilitating resolution of technical issues.
- Participating in risk assessments related to microbiology and environmental monitoring.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:

- Experience with microbiological testing and environmental monitoring, including bioburden, bacterial endotoxin, and identification of microbial isolates.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to use various software/electronic applications.
