Job Summary

The Emergency Department RN provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Monitor patient progress, identifying and addressing any changes or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in Maryland or a compact state.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency services or acute care.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 and 12 months, respectively.
  • Certification in emergency nursing preferred.
Unit Details

The new Emergency Department at Grace Medical Center features state-of-the-art design, technology, and amenities for emergency care. The department includes 29 private treatment rooms, a behavioral health treatment pod, and a CT scanner for early diagnosis of conditions such as strokes and heart attacks.
