Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in Medical Surgical care to join our team at Ardent Health Services Hillcrest Medical Center. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
Job Details
  • Unit: MedSurg RN - Night Shift
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year required
  • Travelers: First-time travelers are not accepted; prior charge experience is preferred.
  • Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients
  • Weekend Shifts: Required every other weekend, totaling 6 shifts every 6 weeks
  • Floating: May float to other MedSurg/Tele units, but not outside of acuity or specialty
  • On-Call: No on-call requirement
  • Scheduling: Block scheduling is determined on a case-by-case basis
  • RTO Parameters: Must be approved by the manager
  • Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics
  • Scrub Color: Navy (discount available)
  • Documentation System: Experience with EPIC is required
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Previous charge experience is preferred
Schedule Information
  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, with 6 shifts every 6 weeks
  • Floating: May float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed
Additional Information
  • Minor procedures will be performed on the unit only.
  • General acute care for MedSurg patients.
  • No insulin drips; however, heparin drips are allowed.
  • No other titratable drips will be managed.
  • Experience with post-catheterization, post-angiography, interventional radiology procedures, and chest tube management is required.
