Meat Clerk

Job Summary:

Mitchell Grocery Corporation is seeking a skilled Meat Clerk to join our team in maintaining a well-stocked and organized meat section. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ordering and unloading product, stocking shelves, and building displays to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the meat section is fully stocked and visually appealing at all times
• Order and receive product shipments, and accurately record inventory levels
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
• Assist customers with product location and availability
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the meat department

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
• Physical ability to lift and move products, and stand for long periods
