Job Description

The Cardiac Diagnostic Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the department, promoting the Baptist Health Care philosophy, and delivering quality patient care. This position is responsible for implementing the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of non-invasive cardiology and neurodiagnostics division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the divisional director in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs that ensure quality nursing and patient care programs consistent with the hospital's mission.
  • Monitor and maintain unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policy for patient services and environmental and personnel safety.
  • Oversee the unit QI program, which monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care.
  • Maintain current license and knowledge of patient care requirements for all patients on the unit.
  • Assess the need for personal growth and development and take the initiative in seeking opportunities to meet this need.
  • Foster a service that is consistent with the patient care beliefs and shared management philosophy of the department.
  • Consult with patients/families as requested and assess patients/significant others survey responses regarding patient care and services.
  • Responsible for ongoing development of staff and unit-specific patient care programs.
  • Ensure departmental operational excellence and deliver quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Manage team members, including orientation, development, and evaluation of personnel, and monitoring the provision of delivering quality services.
  • Participate in the recruiting, interviewing, and selecting of team members following policies, guidelines, and applicable laws.
  • Evaluate team member performance relative to job goals and requirements.
  • Provide coaching to staff, recommend in-service education programs, and ensure adherence to internal policies and standards.
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient fiscal management of department operations to ensure proper utilization of organizational and financial resources.
  • Effectively communicate departmental, organization, and industry information to staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare required.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in cardiology required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Florida or eligible compact license upon hire required.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist licensed in the State of Florida upon hire required.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS_CCI) licensed in the State of Florida upon hire required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association upon hire required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS_ARC) American Heart Association, if an RN, upon hire required.
