Actalent is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our primary care practice in Vernon, Connecticut.

About the Role:

This is a fully on-site position with 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with variations of 7-4, 8-5, 8:30-5:30. The ideal candidate will be open and flexible to any variation of hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Support providers and office staff in a fast-paced medical office environment
  • Assume a wide range of roles, including rooming patients, vital intake, patient follow-ups, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out
  • Restock rooms and utilize an EMR system
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide quality patient care and increase medical office productivity
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Diploma through a certified MA program
  • CMA or RMA Certification (preferred)
  • 6+ months of experience using an EMR system
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office or urgent care setting
Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Vernon, Connecticut. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing quality patient care and increasing medical office productivity.
