About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Salt Lake, Utah. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, this role will conduct internal audits following regulatory, industry, and internal quality guidelines, including ISO. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, conducting process audits, and helping the department in root cause analysis and corrective actions of audit findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits following regulatory, industry, and internal quality guidelines, including ISO.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and maintain records.
  • Conduct process audits and follow up on closure of open audits.
  • Help the department in root cause analysis and corrective actions of audit findings.
  • Initiate product/process improvements.
  • Monitor and report metrics to meet business needs.
  • Prepare reject reports by identifying necessary information for follow-up and analyzing rejects/defects for patterns of process errors or other areas of concern.
  • Provide immediate feedback to production areas concerning process deviations.
  • May be required to facilitate Quality Alert meetings.
  • May provide process training.

Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional skills.
  • Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge and may lead process.
  • Has awareness of new techniques.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, pull & push up to 40 pounds, and ladder use up to 5ft.
