Key Responsibilities:
Deliver care to patients safely and promptly using recognized nursing skills and best practices as outlined by Adoration's quality assurance team
Engage actively in weekly team discussions while adhering to current COVID safety protocols to coordinate effective patient care
Implement nursing interventions that promote patient recovery and achieve high-quality, outcome-focused results
Provide compassionate nursing care while collaborating with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team as necessary
Adjust the nursing care plan as required to help our patients achieve their maximum potential
Administer medication as directed by the patient's Primary Care Physician, including providing instruction and monitoring
Properly execute medication orders, reviews, monitoring, and discontinuation as coordinated with the patient's Primary Care Physician
Conduct patient evaluations and assist in formulating the patient's care plan with other interdisciplinary team members
Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Home Health Aide staff as appropriate
Notify the physician and nursing supervisor of any changes in the client's medical condition through proper documentation and communication
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient care, including progress notes, summaries, and discharges in compliance with state and federal regulations
Assist in creating and implementing a personalized treatment plan that supports the patient's swift recovery at home
Adhere to safe nursing practices and know when to report patient events to the nursing supervisor promptly
Help maintain and update nursing, pharmacy, infection control, and health and safety policies and procedures as needed
Be a proactive self-starter who is comfortable working with a supportive clinical team
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation software (WellSky) is preferred
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • ASN with a minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in an acute treatment unit within a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program, or other outpatient psychiatric services
  • RN, BSN with at least one (1) year of recent nursing experience in an acute treatment unit within a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program, or other outpatient psychiatric services
  • RN, MSN with recent experience in an acute treatment unit within a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric partial hospitalization program, or other outpatient psychiatric services
  • A minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and insurance required
