Walgreens is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a patient-centric role. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Pharmacists: Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy, including tasks such as retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Operations: Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, and assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
- Training and Development: Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager and acquire continuing education credits.
- Fluency in English: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment, prior work experience with Walgreens, good math skills, good computer skills, knowledge of store inventory control, and PTCB certification.
