Innovative Healing Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Scribe Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters and medical information.
Key Responsibilities- Accompany physicians into patient examination rooms to transcribe medical histories, physical exams, assessments, and plans.
- Document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions.
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, and procedures.
- Review past medical histories, previous visit encounters, past results, and studies to ensure accurate documentation.
- Understand and comply with hospital and medical facility policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission requirements.
- Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
To be successful as a Medical Scribe Specialist, you will need:
- At least 1 year of medical terminology experience.
- At least 1 year of medical scribe/medical transcription experience.
