Job Title: Assembler I

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assemble products per work instructions. This is an entry-level position with training and support provided to ensure successful assembly of product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand work instructions to assemble products
  • Verify work instructions match assignment and learn new instructions as required
  • Collect required materials from bins and set up workstations per work instruction
  • Assemble parts and inspect own work as instructed
  • Complete required training in a timely manner
  • Assist other manufacturing staff with their duties as requested
  • Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as required in work instructions
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and understand Device/Work instructions
  • Ability to understand verbal work instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a repeated basis
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)/color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors; depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
  • Able to succeed in highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance
  • Ability to carry out tasks through detailed written or oral instructions; basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IPC soldering certification
  • Soldering skills
