About Us:

With nearly seven decades of expertise as an independent research, development, and evaluation laboratory specializing in fuels and lubricants, we are adept at addressing challenges that impact various vehicles, including marine vessels, locomotives, trucks, automobiles, and even handheld power tools. We offer a bonus of $500 on your initial paycheck (subject to applicable taxes).



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical tasks and procure necessary materials.
  • Assist in building renovations, maintenance, and new construction projects.
  • Support the setup of new and existing test engines.
  • Work towards meeting project deadlines, occasionally requiring overtime.


Daily Duties:
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code and apply it effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Safely operate hand tools and larger workshop equipment (e.g., drill press, band saws).
  • Address electrical malfunctions promptly to minimize laboratory downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues in buildings and laboratories using personal and shop-provided tools.
  • Safely operate work vehicles and forklifts.
  • Have experience in conduit bending with both manual and electric benders.
  • Perform job take-offs to acquire the necessary materials for tasks.
  • Order electrical components and maintain stock of essential items such as wires, breakers, fuses, conduits, and struts.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design electrical systems for new tests and upgrade existing components.
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions to troubleshoot and repair or replace motors, motor starters, solenoids, breakers, fuses, and pumps, while occasionally assisting maintenance technicians.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.


Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 4+ years of experience in maintaining and repairing motors, breakers, motor starters, pumps, and heaters, as well as troubleshooting chillers and boilers.
  • 4+ years of experience in diagnosing other equipment and motors to confirm necessary repairs, along with ordering materials as needed.
  • A valid and clear driver's license is mandatory.
