Job Summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a skilled Production Line Packer to join our team. As a key member of our finishing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of finished goods for shipment to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package Finished Goods: Sort, label, and package finished goods for shipment per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices.
  • Inspect Product Quality: Inspect the general appearance of finished product to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area: Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety policies.
  • Coordinate with Team Members: Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift/department personnel to ensure effective operations.
  • Track Multiple Orders: Track multiple orders being packed at one time.
  • Participate in Safety Initiatives: Complete safety participations to assist with safety compliance in the department.
  • Improve Quality and Productivity: Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity.
  • Perform 5S Duties: Perform 5S duties and audits.
  • Assist with Equipment Maintenance: Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement: Participate in group problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Communication Skills: Able to follow written and oral instruction.
  • Safety Focus: Regard safety as a core value; serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Service and Quality Focus: Strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand root cause, then communicate/educate team in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Able to actively contribute in a team-based environment; encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.
  • Flexibility and Dependability: Demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.
  • Overtime: Able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
  • Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, especially strong inventory tracking system transactional skills.
  • Lift Truck Operator's License: Able to obtain Lift Truck Operator's license.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
