Job Title: Staff Nurse, Med Surg, Variable Shifts

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse will perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments to collect data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, and health history.
  • Evaluate the developmental age of the patient when performing assessments, treatments, and patient/family education.
  • Organize patient data into the formulation of a plan of care, identify additional information needed, and make care decisions based on identified needs.
  • Identify expected patient outcomes and carry out the plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient care that is specific to the setting, identified needs, and plan.
  • Ensure that the care provided is appropriate to the severity of the disease, condition, impairment, or disability.
  • Oversee ancillary activities and support team members.
  • Provide the resources necessary for educating patients.
  • Communicate issues/concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Document patient care and concerns in the patient record.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a current RN license and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
