Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to ensure the comfort and health of patients. This role involves preparing medical equipment and assisting physicians during patient examinations and treatments. The nurse will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, conditions, reactions, and progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current RN License in Louisiana.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- ACLS certification is mandatory.
- PALS certification is also required.
Work Schedule:
7am-7pm
